Aichmophobia – The Fear of Needles or Pins
The word phobia comes from the Greek and literally means ‘fear’ or ‘dread’. Suffering from a phobia has been described as having immense fear of a situation or an object that is not in proportion to the actual danger. This fear can lead to a strong desire or need to completely escape the situation or avoid the object.
Needlephobia is severe enough to be recognised as a real condition by Doctors as it can cause immense stress and anxiety and in the UK up to 10% of people suffer from it. It can have a can have a negative effect to your health as effective treatment can be avoided, for example a necessary blood test to determine your important health issues.
Botox for Wrinkle Reduction
Botox is the trade name for a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, fore head creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. It works by blocking the nerve impulses that tell a muscle to contract.
This temporarily freezes the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that Botox is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.
